As the hub for Africa-related research and programming across the University, AWI supports:
- Africa-related course offerings on campus in a variety of disciplines, including science and engineering, the arts and humanities, the social sciences, and interdisciplinary program
- student internships in Africa by creating a dedicated internship program, with placements and funding
- entrepreneurial activity by connecting students and faculty with entrepreneurs on the continent and investing in the continent
- productive multiway interaction between scholars, policymakers, businesspeople, and students in Princeton/US and Africa
Princeton Alumni for Africa
AW hosts annual reunions for Princeton Alumni whose Princeton and post-Princeton experiences engaged with Africa, through the Program in African Studies, and other academic units, and through Princeton in Africa. The goal of the reunion is to build a robust network of alumni that will support diverse Princeton-related engagements, initiatives, programs, and projects in Africa.
Partnerships
Africa World Initiative maintains strong partnerships with other ogranizations around Princeton.
